Schemas/Namespaces:
Schemas allow users to create objects in separate namespaces, so two people or applications can have tables with the same name. There is also a public schema for shared tables.
Drop column:
PostgreSQL now supports the ALTER TABLE ... DROP COLUMN functionality.
Table Functions:
Functions returning multiple rows and/or multiple columns are now much easier to use. Users can call a "table function" in the SELECT FROM clause, treating its output like a table. PL/pgSQL functions can now return sets as well.
Prepared Queries:
PostgreSQL now supports prepared queries, for improved performance.
Dependency Tracking:
PostgreSQL now records object dependencies, which allows improvements in many areas. DROP statements now take either CASCADE or RESTRICT to control whether dependent objects are also removed.
Privileges:
Functions and procedural languages now have privileges, and functions can be defined to run with the privileges of their creator.
Logging:
A variety of logging options have been enhanced.

S/ODBC driver for encrypted and or compressed ODBC based connectivity (Linux and Win32 only)
S/JDBC driver for encrypted and or compressed JDBC based connectivity (all platforms). - Mammoth + Rekall: A similar product to the Mammoth Deluxe. However in addition to the 30 days installation and configuration support you also receive theKompany Rekall. The addition of Rekall to the Mammoth line allows not only graphical database management (pgManage) but now also allows form generation, client side scripting, and report creation. Rekall scripting support is cross platform as it uses and embedded Python interpreter allowing for full access to the power of the language. You can even use any Python module that is available on our platform to interact with Rekall and Mammoth PostgreSQL.
- Win32 Versions:
- The standard version comes with 15 days of installation and configuration support.
- The Deluxe version comes with 30 days of installation and configuration support.
- If you have Cygwin installed on your Win32 machine, you must remove it to use the following Win32 product. The Cygwin uninstallation process does not correctly clean your registry. Please remove all entries for Cygwin in your registry before installing this product. There is software called Iolo's System Mechanic that will make this very easy for you.
- DO NOT INSTALL THE WIN32 VERSION OF THIS PRODUCT ONTO A MACHINE THAT HAS MYSQL INSTALLED UNLESS YOU REMOVE MYSQL FIRST.
- Although the Win32 version allows unlimited users it is limited to 50 connections. It is suggested that you have at least 256 megabytes of RAM, 512 megabytes of ram if possible.
- The Win32 version of Mammoth does not come with Mammoth S/ODBC. If you purchase Mammoth Win32, Mammoth S/ODBC must be purchased separately.
